Realizing the needs of our changing industry, Copalcor has been proactive in embracing those changes. Using computer modeling and simulation software, we can predict what to expect during initial tool design and production. Our design team will work with you to explain the entire process, with all the advantages in cost and time clearly explained.

It all adds up to significant savings in both time and money. To complement our auto-forging technology, we have installed a new forging press. This all form part of our sophisticated stable of high technology machining tools. We have added to our full project capabilities by making our own tools and dies in-house. This enables us to keep costs to a minimum, maintain quality control, and make revisions quickly to meet today's demanding delivery requirements.

Advantages of Forging

Forgings of copper and brass offer a number of outstanding advantages over parts produced by other manufacturing processes. These advantages result from the inherent properties of copper and copper alloys plus additional improvements in mechanical and physical properties imparted by the forging process.

For decades, brass and copper forgings have been used in a variety of industries. From plumbing to aerospace, from hardware to the automotive industry and beyond, forgings offer improved performance at a competitive cost. Improved grain structure with no porosity make forged components superior to those of cast products. The low tooling cost associated with forging often makes it a viable option to casting due to casting's much higher tooling costs.
