Some of the major local projects that have been completed by Copalcor include:
1990 – 1995:
- Mass = 470 ton (3 contracts for fully machined copper cooler
blocks).
1993:
- Mass = 166 ton (cooler blocks).
1995:
- Estimated busbar mass = 39 metric ton (minerals beneficiation).
1995 – 2000:
- Estimated busbar mass = 80 ton (5 projects - upgrades to zinc
plant).
1995:
- Estimated busbar mass = 10 ton.
- Chlorine plant (Chlorine Engineers Corp design).
- Included supply of fully fabricated busbar, flexible connectors
and fasteners.
1995:
- Estimated busbar mass = 20 ton.
- Fully fabricated busbar supplied for minerals beneficiation
plant in Zimbabwe.
1997:
- Estimated busbar mass = 62 ton.
- Design, manufacture and installation supervision of busbar
system for chlorine plant.
- Busbar supports and insulation material supplied by Copalcor.
2000:
- Estimated cooling block mass = 160 ton.
- Supplied side wall cooling blocks for titanium smelter according
to Hatch design.
2002:
- Estimated busbar mass = 40 ton.
- Design, manufacture and installation supervision of busbar
system for chlorine plant.
- Busbar supports, enclosure and insulation material supplied by
Copalcor.
2002:
- Manufacture of replacement busbar for copper SX-EW plant.
2004 to 2008:
- Estimated cooling block mass = 1000 ton.
2004 to 2008:
- Estimated busbar mass = 1000 ton.
- Supply bare busbar only for manufacture and export to
Africa.
2008:
- Estimated cooling block mass = 160 ton.
2010:
- Estimated busbar mass = 30 ton.
2011-2012:
Estimated busbar mass = 600 ton.
Other:
- Copalcor is the biggest supplier of busbar and cooling blocks
into African mines in South Africa.
- Numerous small projects have been completed for other local
mining and chemical companies.
